Description
My students just love taking turns to do the attendance chart every day!
A girl and boy are chosen each day. The girl counts how many girls are at school and places that many stars on the attendance chart and writes the number of girls in the sum below. The boy does the same with the boy students. We then use the ‘counting on’ strategy as a class to work out how many people there are altogether and write this onto the chart with whiteboard marker.
Now includes an attendance chart with a subtraction symbol for those of you who would like to use this chart for subtracting your absent children from your total number of students.
Print onto A3.
