Description
This simple history sequencing printable allows students to illustrate significant items or events from their life and sequence them in a logical order. This resource is the perfect addition to your History program.
Includes the following instructions and example ideas.
You can use this printable in a couple of ways:
1. Print on A3 and ask students to draw a picture in each box (after discussing the different phases of their life and what may have been significant) and write a sentence to explain.
2. Print on A3 and supply 6 rectangles of paper (to fit inside boxes) to each student. They must draw their 6 events/ items and then glue them into the correct sequence.
Example ideas:
Before I Was Born: Mum and Dad met/ married; older brother/ sister was born/ Mum/ Dad were kids.
When I Was a Baby: dummy; bib; favourite teddy; learning to crawl, first words.
When I Was Little: learning to walk; favourite toy; little brother/ sister was born; went to playgroup/ daycare.
Last Year: went to Kindy/ Pre-Primary/ Year 1; went on a holiday; played a sport.
Now: school; holiday; sport; favourite toy/ activity; friends.
In the future: I want to be a….; I will be a Mum/ Dad; I will work.
